Friday: Online Quiz/Assignments are accessible starting at 3 PM for 48 hours.
When the exercises call for "ask a partner, work with a partner," etc., you play both roles, you and your partner's roles)

	This will give you an idea how the vocabulary quiz is given online. You can take this practice quiz as many times as you want. This is another practice. Kanji writing is not due on Sept 9, but you should start working on it. Work on SAM p.21. 22. You need to handwrite on this page. Then, submit what you wrote to せんせい. You can scan the page, take a photo, etc. Send your files to the course mailing list. Some of you send a gigantic picutre file, like 10MB. This is too much. You don't have to use the best resolution to take a photo, scan, etc. Sorry, Monday is a holiday. So the quiz will be accessible starting at 8 AM, accessible for 48 hours.

	For verbs in the vocab. quiz, you write the dictionary form and also you need to know the verb type. (irregular, る-verb, or う-verb.) For web video recording exercise, record tb.p.17 Activity 1, make 5 sentences. "tb.p.17-1" means "textbook page 17, Activity 1" Follow the directions given in the book, except that you'll do this alone, not with a partner. Record the exercise with your Web Video recoding, and you'll send the trascription to the course mailing list. Some good video recordings maybe shared with your classmates to show good examples, just like some students get called on in a face to face class. Before you make the web video recording, transcribe (type) what you speak (in ひらがな). And send your transcriptioin to the course mailing list. Make your file name like this "your name + exercise number." For example, for this exercise, "yourname17A1" This is easier for me to organize files. Also your e-mail title "subject" should be "yourname48A1".

	Use this to prepare for the Online Kanji Quiz. For tb.p.42-Practice web video recording, read the 4 sentences out loud in Japanese and after each sentence say the English meaning. When you submit the translation exercise, the automatic grading will grade what you submitted as "zero" point. But don't worry about it. Click on "Correct Answer is Available" to see sample translations.

	This exercise SAM 019 (Integration). will not be graded, but for your own sake, you might want to practice.
	27 (F)	Study Guide.		Lesson 7 Test. Kanji Writing SAM p.21, 22 Due (See Jan. 16 Section)	Here.
	1. You'll take the chapter test either on Friday or Monday. 10% will be deducted for each solar day you take the test late under any cirsumstances. For example, if you take the test on Tuesday , 10% will be deducted. if you take the test on Wedensday, 20% will be deducted. This is because you have extra days to study. 2. Should you have to take a test late, you have to inform the instructor at least two days in advance. Otherwise, the test is not accessible. 3. You have to take chapter tests at the testing center. Lama 101: 734-9144. If you access this test anyplace else, it's cheating and your course grade will be F. When you take the test, you have to know the URL for this schedule page. 4. If you want to take a test at a testing center at another campus, it's your responsibility to make arrangements. 5. The lab monitors at the testing center don't have any information such as URL to this page, your user ID, your password. Be sure to know all of the information when you go to the testing center.
